Be A Mentor

FOR THOSE UIC staff members who may be interested in becoming a mentor in the APMP (Administrative Professional Mentoring Program) this academic year, the APMP Committee is holding the first “So You Think You Can’t Mentor?” workshop on Thursday, Aug. 15, from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 3050, Student Services Building, 1200 W. Harrison St..

THE APMP will host a series of roundtable discussions led by UIC personnel who have been mentors in the program. They will share their insights on what it takes to be a mentor -- their professional experience, the nature of the mentoring relationship, time commitment, and the benefits of the program – and more. The tables will be moderated by APMP committee members. Light refreshments will be served.
